Home Learning

‘Arguing with your kids to do work is not what anyone needs right now. Instead, cuddle together and read, read, read. Take turns reading. Read them your favourite novel (yes, you can read novels to small children). Do a puzzle. Build a fort. Bake. Watch TV together. Paint. Get out the Lego and build together. Set up a tent in your living room and camp out. Look at photos of when you were a kid. In other word…Don’t stress about them forgetting. Don’t stress about homeschooling them. Just spend time together. Your kids won’t learn much if they’re feeling stressed. Though this is a scary time, it could be very well be a time they remember for the best time in their life.’

We have thought about activities you could do with your children together at home during this time and have compiled a number of different activities and projects. Some require resources but others just require their imagination.

INTERNET SAFETY

As many children will be spending more time online to help with their learning, it is important that they are also aware of Internet Safety, something which is taught as part of our Computing Curriculum. ThinkUKnow have created a number of resources for parents and children, as well as a range of Activity Packs. Click here to access their free resources.

SUMMER TERM

We have now started the Summer Term and even though we aren’t at school, your teachers have been busy thinking about the learning you could do at home to help you with your new topic. Below you will find activities from your teacher, have a go at them and then, why not see what else you can find out about your topic. I know your teachers can’t wait to hear about what you have learnt.

Weekly Home Learning

Your teachers have prepared weekly plans for different subjects that you can follow along at home. Each Monday, new plans will be added so make sure you come back to find out what they have planned for you.
